Samsung N120 Mini Netbook Review
Samsung is well known for making super high quality Netbooks, or mini laptops, like their NC10, which was the first Netbook to have more than 6 hours of battery life, longer than any other mini. And now they have released the N120 which equals the NC10 in performance, but features a wider chassis that provides for a full-size keyboard and bezel-mounted speakers.
Design
The N120 comes in black or white and weighs 2.8 pounds and has a 10.1 inch screen.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The full keyboard that comes with the N120 is one of the best of any notebooks offered today. It also comes with an accurate touchpad. The mouse is easy to navigate and click.
Screen and Webcam
It has a 10.1-inch screen, which delivers a native resolution of 1024 x 600. Its glossy panel displays bright and vibrant colors. Though the viewing angles are a bit poor, when viewing slightly from above or from the side view. This mini laptop comes with a built in webcam, that performs adequately, with just some color distortion.
Multimedia
The Samsung N120 Netbook mini streams and plays movies and television shows quite well.
Sound
The sound of the speakers for media is typical of a Netbook so hooking up speakers or headphones is a better alternative.
Internal Features
1.6-GHz Intel Atom N270 processor

Ports
The N120 comes with the standard set of ports that are usual with minis laptops.

Laptop Mag says: “The Samsung N120 is one of the best netbooks we’ve tested this year, thanks to its roomy keyboard, long battery life, and loud speakers. With an MSRP of $439 (and a street price of $410), the N120 has a higher price than the MSI Wind U123, which gets more than 40 minutes of additional battery life for $60 less.
The Samsung also costs about $20 more than the ASUS Eee PC 1000HE, which offers a stylish design and nearly as much endurance. Nevertheless, if such creature comforts as a large keyboard matter most to you, the N120 is a compelling choice.”
